To book a quote, we need your address, the type of home and roughly when it was built, and which areas you want looked at: roof, walls, underfloor or all three. If you know what insulation is already in place, that helps, but it is not required. Everything else is measured and assessed during the free on-site visit, because area, access and existing conditions cannot be established over the phone.
What Happens Between Your Enquiry and the Written Quote
The initial contact is short. Address, home type, the areas you are concerned about, and a time that suits for the visit. If you have a specific problem such as a hot upstairs bedroom, a cold floor or a west-facing wall that heats up in the afternoon, mention it, because that shapes what gets checked first.
The on-site visit is where the real information is gathered. An installer measures ceiling area, checks the roof cavity through the manhole, inspects wall construction to determine whether the cavity can be pumped, and looks at subfloor clearance and ventilation if underfloor is in scope. Existing insulation gets assessed at the same time, so you find out whether it can be topped up or needs removing.
Thermal imaging is available at no charge where it is useful. It shows where heat is actually escaping or being absorbed, which is particularly helpful on problem walls and rooms that behave differently from the rest of the house.
The written quote follows and sets out the product, the rating, the areas covered and the price. If more than one area is in scope, the relevant package saving is applied, and any removal work is priced separately so the two figures are clear rather than combined.
